Master Leasing Program

Master Leasing is an innovative housing program where OpenDoors rents a unit or units from property owners and then subleases them to individuals. This arrangement offers renters stable and affordable housing, managed by a team who handles all maintenance and administrative tasks. By providing this support, we ensure a hassle-free living experience, allowing residents to focus on their well-being and personal growth. Our master leasing program is designed to create a secure and supportive community for all participants.

Program Eligibility:

  • Must be in one of the OpenDoors housing/shelter programs (except PFS) for a minimum of three months

  • Able to pay for the first month’s rent and security deposit prior to moving in

  • Single individuals only

  • Potential residents must make at least 2x rent with verifiable income

  • Willing to share an apartment with other residents

  • Actively working with an OpenDoors Case Manager

  • Meet with an OpenDoors Case Manager regularly once housed

  • At least six months in recovery

  • No open cases or criminal convictions within 90 days of placement

  • Willing to sign a residency contract

  • Monthly in-home Case Management visits
