Master Leasing Program
Master Leasing is an innovative housing program where OpenDoors rents a unit or units from property owners and then subleases them to individuals. This arrangement offers renters stable and affordable housing, managed by a team who handles all maintenance and administrative tasks. By providing this support, we ensure a hassle-free living experience, allowing residents to focus on their well-being and personal growth. Our master leasing program is designed to create a secure and supportive community for all participants.
Program Eligibility:
Must be in one of the OpenDoors housing/shelter programs (except PFS) for a minimum of three months
Able to pay for the first month’s rent and security deposit prior to moving in
Single individuals only
Potential residents must make at least 2x rent with verifiable income
Willing to share an apartment with other residents
Actively working with an OpenDoors Case Manager
Meet with an OpenDoors Case Manager regularly once housed
At least six months in recovery
No open cases or criminal convictions within 90 days of placement
Willing to sign a residency contract
Monthly in-home Case Management visits
