OpenDoors offers employment case management and group employment readiness classes, both inside and outside the prison. The OpenDoors employment preparation and placement program employs a full-time, experienced job readiness specialist who prepares clients to enter the world of professional employment and become responsible employees.

Our Employment Services Coordinator will sit with you and personally help you craft a professional resume.
Your "30 Second Commercial" will help you when talking about your criminal record with employers.

You may be eligible for a free monthly RIPTA pass when participating in the program.

The classes are scheduled one-on-one from Monday-Friday 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. There is also a weekly open computer lab Tuesday afternoons available to those enrolled in the program.

The program is here as long as you need it. As long as you are searching for a job you can participate in the program. You may feel like after the first two weeks that you are ready for the job search, or you may feel that you would like some extra support after the first two weeks. It is up to you.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (833) 620-1071, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to:
