Since August 2025, OpenDoors has operated a group shelter in Woonsocket. As of November 1st, this shelter is located at 181 Cumberland Street at a newly renovated, 50 bed facility. Residents of this shelter receive:

• A 24-hour shelter bed with access to showers

• Peer recovery and other supportive services

• Dinners provided by New Beginnings Soup Kitchen.

The facility is operated by OpenDoors and owned by the City of Woonsocket, with operational funding provided by the Rhode Island Executive Office of Housing and was made possible by the leadership and collaboration of both the City of Woonsocket and the State of Rhode Island.
