Pawtucket Group Shelter

1139 Main Street, Pawtucket

Since February 2023, OpenDoors has operated a shelter at 1139 Main Street in Pawtucket. The facility now provides 100 beds to men and women. As of October 1st, beds are referred through the OpenDoors Pawtucket Regional Access Point which can be reached at help@opendoorsri.org or by calling 401-214-5542.

The location used to be a warming and cooling drop-in center but became a shelter in the spring of 2025.

Residents of this shelter receive:

  • A 24-hour shelter bed

  • Access to showers

  • Peer recovery and other supportive services

  • Limited dinners and lunches provided by the Pawtucket Food Bank

The facility is operated by OpenDoors and owned by the Pawtucket Housing Authority, with operational funding provided by the Rhode Island Department of Housing.
